Community Connector Initiative (CCI)
The BGS CCI seeks to support the development of innovative and diverse applicant teams for state clean energy grant funding opportunities to maximize access to capital in Environmental Justice communities across Massachusetts. We offer approachable and engaging opportunities for community based organizations and partners that are new to the clean energy sector to learn how to navigate the clean energy and climate funding ecosystem in Massachusetts. Our team provides concept development and educational workshops, team development support and funding opportunity matching, and connection to direct support from BGS and other resource partners. This fall and winter, BGS is offering tailored support for community based organizations and partners to learn how to access seed funding to support exploration of a program concept through MassCEC’s EmPower Innovation and Capacity Building Grants and Implementation Grants.
Join a group workshop to get the scoop on grant parameters, assess your fit for the grant opportunity, and leave with a tactical plan for concept development
Are you a direct service oriented organization working directly with historically underserved populations in your community? We would love to have a conversation with you about how your existing programs and support work could be amplified with a connection to state clean energy and climate funding opportunities. In particular, we are interested in connecting with small business support organizations, youth organizations, and arts organizations - climate does not need to be explicitly a part of your work (yet!) to receive our guidance and support.
